You’re Invited to Check Out G-Shock Novelties at Topper Fine Jewelers

On Saturday, June 23rd, Topper Fine Jewelers in Burlingame, California is hosting an evening with G-Shock, and you’re all invited! Worn & Wound readers will know Topper as one of the best watch stores in the field. From the brands they represent and the collaborative watches they produce (like the Nomos Zurich Weltzeit Worldtimer Topper Edition and the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Topper Edition), to the great support they offer the enthusiast community, Topper is retail done right. For those of you who made it out to our Wind-Up San Francisco event, you likely met some of the Topper team at the Oris booth. The G-Shock event will showcase some of the brand’s wildly popular Baselworld releases for the first time, including many of the new G-Shock models that will be on display for the first time ever on the West Coast. On hand will be G-Shock sales manager, Clark Nelson, who will make his second appearance at Topper. He’ll have the new MR-G MRG-G2000HA “TETSU-TSUBA,” the new MT-G Connected MTGB1000-1A, as well as some of the new models with carbon fiber bezels that just made their debut at Couture Time in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. The event will also feature all three of the resin model 35th anniversary pieces (Frogman, square and round), as well as a large collection of 2018 models.

Finally, attendees will have a chance to check out the G-Shock Master of G Watches (pictured below), which include the Gulfmaster GWNQ1000, the new Mudmaster GWG1000, and the new Gravitymaster GPW2000. All three of these Master series watches are fitted with special AR-coated sapphire crystals and exhibit a unique feature set and build-spec for each of their intended use cases: maritime navigation, first response in harsh environments, and high-altitude cockpit use, respectively. The Gulfmaster is particularly unique, as it is powered by Casio’s latest Quad Sensor, which packs in an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and compass—a first for the brand.

Many of the watches available for purchase at the event will be eligible for a free signature from Kikuo Ibe, the inventor of the G-Shock watch. These watches have an expected delivery of July and you can see a full list of eligible watches here.

Topper Fine Jewelers will have food and drink available—with a Japanese flair, of course—so expect sushi, Japanese whiskey, and draft beer on-hand. RSVP isn’t required, but it is appreciated, so please email [email protected] if you plan to attend.

Once again, the event is taking place on Saturday, June 23rd between 5 and 7pm at Topper Fine Jewelers in Burlingame, California.
