Vintage Omax Spaceman
Here’s a fun one to start off this week, a vintage Omax Spaceman. The 37mm steel case is PVD (?) coated to give it a dark color. It’s in good shape, unpolished with normal wear that you would expect. The square case is very angular and nearly a pyramid, giving it a definite space-age look. The angular crystal is also in good shape, protecting a stark white dial with black hands. The unique crown is original. There are no movement pictures but the watch runs per the seller. I’ve seen a few of these over the years, but they aren’t too common. Just a really neat an unusual watch that will be fun to wear without breaking the bank.
Vintage Pac-Man Watch
Is there anything more quintessentially 80s than Pac-Man?? If you lived the 80s like me, then Pac-Man is ingrained in your mind. Here’s your chance to relive that wondrous time with this killer vintage Pac-Man digital watch from Nelsonic! The watch is in amazing condition, looks like it was barely worn. The dial graphics are all intact and the four little direction buttons look new. The watch and the game are functioning properly, and the watch even comes on its original matching plastic bracelet. I can’t remember the last time I saw one of these, and it was probably in the 80s! If you want a super cool vintage icon that will be fun to wear and even more fun to play, check this one out!
Vintage 18k Universal Geneve Polerouter DeLuxe
The Omax may not break the bank, but this vintage Universal Geneve Polerouter DeLuxe in 18k gold will require you to bring in the Brinks truck! This rare gem is an absolute beauty. The solid 18k gold case is classically styled, with slim, elegant lugs. The case looks unpolished, with crisp edges, and the serial and model numbers on the caseback are nice and clear. The gold dial is clean and looks original, with nice gold dauphine hands. There is the iconic Polerouter outer track insert, also in gold. The original signed crown is gold as well of course, giving this watch the full gold treatment. It’s understated bling in full effect. The Universal Geneve caliber 138SS bumper automatic is clean and running well. The watch even comes with the original clamshell box, a rare find! This watch has the “wow factor” in spades.
Vintage Lord Elgin
Here’s a cool vintage Lord Elgin with a mystery dial. The yellow gold filled case has fancy lugs and looks to be in great condition. The two-tone gold mystery dial is super clean, and has a fantastic Mid-Century Mod look to it. The hour hand is affixed to a rotating dial so that it looks like it is floating on the dial, while the dauphine minute hand is “normal”. The Elgin caliber 718 manual wind movement is clean and runs well per the seller. The watch comes with a hang-tag that is maybe from the original jewelry store where it was sold? Either way, this is a neat piece.
Vintage Wyler
Next up is this killer vintage Wyler watch with a golf ball textured dial! The 32mm round steel case is in good shape and does not look to have been polished, and features slim, fancy lugs. The dial is the hero here though, with the central portion having texture like a golf ball, which really makes it stand out. The hour markers are applied steel, with stylized Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9, and slim arrows for the rest. The hands are lume filled dauphine hands and a lume filled arrow tip second hand. Overall a great look! The crown is slightly recessed and is signed with the Wyler logo. There are no movement pictures but it runs well per the seller. Seller also states there is a small crack on the acrylic crystal, but they are including a NOS crystal in the auction! Bust out this baby next time you’re golfing with your buddies and they’ll all be jealous!
Vintage Seiko Turtle Diver 6309-7049
Finishing up this week with a true classic, a vintage Seiko 6309-7049 diver. This is the OG real deal, the one that Seiko has re-issued several times, but you just can’t beat the original. This one is from July 1978, and is in excellent, all original condition. The iconic case is in good shape, some marks but unpolished with the original brushed finish. The hands and Suwa dial are original and in perfect condition with no black funk on the hands or lume. The original aluminum bezel insert shows a few scratches that tell its story of proud use. There are some scratches on the crystal, but there are well made aftermarket replacements that are easily found. The original crown screws down properly as it should. No movement pictures but it runs well per the seller. This is a great, honest example of an iconic vintage Seiko 6309 diver.
