QUICK RELEASE In Partnership with Fleux

Dive into the newly launched Fleux Skin Divers

Inspired by an intergenerational love of watches, the newly launched Toronto-based Fleux brand is joining the marketplace with two pieces that carry the utility of dive watches with touches to delight a modern collector.

Crafted with precision and attention to detail, the FLX001 and FLX002 are timepieces that reference the classic case shape of the 1970s while also modernizing its design with sleek updates.

The watches feature lugs that hug the wrist, ensuring a comfortable fit throughout the day. The lugs have been slightly thinned from the archetypal skin diver, striking the perfect balance between a tool watch and a dress watch, making it versatile enough for an adventure or desk diving.

About the FLX001

FLX001 features a rare countdown bezel, making it easier for the diver to see how much time is left in the dive. A nod to a very special watch I happen to love – the Omega Seamaster 300 CK2913.

The dial references the quintessential dive watch dotted hour markers but the FLX001 has been treated with an asymmetrical design to convey dynamic kineticism.  It also just looks badass. Modern watch dials are usually fitted with applied hour markers but we chose to have our hour markers applied with a thick application of C3 lume to give that “puffy” effect usually only found on vintage divers.

About the FLX002

The second model in our debut collection features a sterile bezel—a nod to the very special and highly sought after Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bund. The sterile bezel was created when modern rebreathers enabled divers with more than one hour of dive time, which rendered the markings on a typical bezel useless.

The dial is the classic 1930s “California Dial” design. It is thought to have been used to ensure high visibility and error proof reading. Like the FLX001, the FLX002 lume features “puffy” lume hour markers.

Head over to the Fleux Kickstarter, launched in mid-April 2023 to see these vintage inspired, continually new pieces.
