Peacock Releases the HAIYI Tourbillon Diver with a Hand-Engraved Enamel Dial

Chinese watch brand Peacock has released the HAIYI Tourbillon Watch Diver, a limited-edition 300-meter diver built around a hand-engraved enamel dial and an exposed tourbillon. As you may be able to tell, this isn’t your standard dive watch. Instead, Peacock takes the familiar diver framework and uses it as the base for intricate engraving, translucent enamel, sapphire hands, three-dimensional luminous markers, and a tourbillon.

Undoubtedly, the star of the show for this release is the dial, which is hand-engraved using Lindsay pneumatic engraving, with artisans cutting 190 concentric rings across the 30.4mm surface. The dial design is based on tidal motion, with the rings arranged into six interwoven zones that expand across the surface rather than following a simple repeated wave motif. Instead of relying on stamping, the engraving tool is driven by controlled air pulses, requiring the artisan to keep the spacing, curvature, and depth consistent across the full dial. The difficulty becomes especially clear in the 78 intersections, where the engraved lines have to meet without crossing. Peacock shared a video of this meticulous process via their Instagram.

After the engraving is finished, Peacock applies five translucent layers of enamel over the dial. The enamel is thin enough for the wave pattern to remain visible beneath the color, allowing the handwork to show through the final surface. The three enamel colorways for this release are: Xi (blue), Yu (green), and Huan (purple).

The tourbillon is visible at 6 o’clock, with a micro-set natural diamond on the bridge. Inside is Peacock’s in-house PAX9610B, a manual-winding tourbillon movement with a free-sprung balance and 68 hours of power reserve. The movement can be seen through the transparent caseback, where Peacock has finished it with rainbow Geneva waves, a double spiral great wheel, etched inscriptions, and beveled screws.

That movement is housed in a 40mm 904L stainless steel case rated to 30 ATM. The watch also uses an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a helium escape valve, a fully lumed bezel, and nine applied three-dimensional luminous markers. The hands are cut from 0.4mm sapphire and printed with seven layers of lume, keeping them translucent over the engraved dial while still offering low-light legibility.

The HAIYI Tourbillon Watch Diver is available now through Peacock’s website. Each colorway is limited to just 199 pieces and has a pricetag of $3,499.
