STERNGLAS has expanded its dive watch line with the Marus 2.0 Edition Küste, a limited version of the Marus that draws on the brand’s Hamburg roots and the character of the North German coast. It keeps the core Marus 2.0 design in place, with updates that lean more into a maritime theme.
Sternglas Brings a Maritime Palette to the Marus 2.0 with the Edition Küste
The Küste edition centers on a deep blue dial and matching aluminum bezel, pulling from darker ocean tones rather than brighter, more saturated diver palettes. White and orange lume is used across the hands, indices, and bezel, with the orange seconds hand adding a clear point of contrast. The dial has also been updated with wider markers and more luminous surface overall, giving it stronger legibility in low light. This extends to a date display at 6 o’clock, which has been slightly enlarged for better readability.
The watch keeps the familiar 42mm stainless steel case of the Marus, maintains a suite of features that make for a great diver, including 20 bar water resistance, a unidirectional bezel with a 60-minute scale and 120 clicks, and a screw-down crown with a red safety indicator, whereby a bright red band will become visible if the crown is not properly secured.
This STERNGLAS watch runs on a TMI NH35 automatic movement and offers a power reserve of up to 41 hours.
At launch, the watch is available on either a navy FKM rubber strap or a black hybrid strap, with both options designed to handle water and daily wear more effectively than a standard leather strap. The rubber strap uses a textured underside to prevent sticking on the wrist, and both straps feature quick-release spring bars for easy changes. A metal bracelet option is expected in mid-May.
The STERNGLAS Marus 2.0 Edition Küste is limited to 1,999 pieces, each individually numbered on the caseback, and is available now at $659 on strap and $789 on bracelet, with the bracelet option arriving shortly after the initial release.
