[VIDEO] Tudor’s Pelagos 39 Joins Good Company; P39, FXD, BBPro, BB58 Comparison

Now the Pelagos 39 has had a chance to sink in, and the new shininess has worn off a bit, we can take a closer look at the watch alongside some of its contemporary counterparts within Tudor’s own offerings. You can check out our full review right here, but while we had the watch in the office, we took the opportunity to line up alongside some of Tudor’s greatest hits of recent years and discuss the watches in a broader context. In this comparison, we take a look at the P39 with the Black Bay 58, the Black Bay Pro, and the Pelagos FXD. There’s a clear evolution happening here and Tudor has been nothing if not responsive to enthusiast feedback. That’s clear in viewing these watches together, and has us asking ‘what comes next?’

We are spoiled for choice these days when it comes to great tool watches under $5,000, and these examples from Tudor are at or near the top of the heap. While not perfect, they each offer a unique personality that separates them amongst not only themselves, but of other watches in the category. Of course, they’ve given us plenty of ideas on what would make them just that much better, and the same conundrum may have you holding off on your next purchase to see what they do next.

We want to know what you think. What is Tudor doing right these watches, and what would you like to see next from the brand? One watch absent from this lineup is their newest 39mm Ranger, which is a compelling proposition in its own right. Our full review of that watch is underway, so stay tuned for more details on that one. In the meantime, enjoy this comparison between the P39, Black Bay Pro, Black Bay 58, and FXD.
