[VIDEO] First Look At The Seiko Prospex SPB313, 315, & 317

Not that it should come as a surprise to any of us, but Seiko has been on a straight tear with their dive watch game over the past year (more like half century). We got those just right 62MAS callbacks in watches like the SPB149; the character rich ‘Willard’ re-interpretation with watches like the SPB153, a plethora of dials and color options between the lot. This year, Seiko lands right in between the above references with a trio of new diver references: the SPB313, 315, and 317.

They aren’t quite the skin divers in the vein of the 62MAS, and bring a touch of subtlety not found in the ‘Willard’ – they sit in the sweet spot both visually and practically, and if you got lost taking in the excitement of those sweet Seiko 5 GMTs, it’s worth taking a step back to appreciate these divers released at the same time.

We’ve had a chance to go hands-on with all three references and found a lot to love right out of the gate. Yes, even that 4:30 date placement.  There’s a full review of this watch coming soon, but until then enjoy our first look in the video below. If you have any specific questions you’d like to see answered in the review, be sure to leave them in the comments below.
